Site with existing planning permission in place for a single unit purchased outright.

Topographical survey procured. After market analysis scheme prepared for a two-unit and four-unit scheme due to self-build and serviced accommodation market.

Following the Council’s initial assessment of application, the two-unit scheme was re-designed to reduce the level of developer contributions. The application was subsequently approved.

Four-unit design and refused on roads grounds. Application appealed to Local Review Body where roads grounds were subsequently altered to sustain the refusal.

Formal complaint submitted due to Council’s Transport Planning Officers and Local Review Body’s handling of the application due to the use of incorrect and misleading information being utilised to sustain the appeal. Complaint upheld and Interurban’s expenses reimbursed.

Revised four-unit design subsequently approved.
